A story about perseverance

James Reuter, S J writing about perseverance related the story of a boy was born with polio. However
according to boy’s doctor, if the boy would exercise regularly, he would be able to walk. The boy was so determined to walk that he practiced everyday despite the terrible pain he felt while exercising. He was able to walk and jog at the age of twelve. When he was 21 years old, he became the undefeated world champion mile runner. The boy was Glenn Cunningham. “The winner never quits, the quitter never wins" Albert Einstein who is a great physicist and inventor talks about his experiment: ”I think and I think for months and years. Ninety-nine times, the conclusion is false. The hundred time times, I am right”

How should we start?

Perseverance must start in little things, so that you will develop courage, and with God, you will be able to accept and overcome big difficulties and thus strengthen your faith. This way you will avoid both presumptions, which are taking things for granted, and despair, which is to lose or give up hope (Virtue 1989)
